The prestigious alumni event organized by Malnad College of Engineering Alumni Association (MAA), Hassan, on 14th December 2023 witnessed a thunderous response with over 1500+ alumni attending it. The association capitalized on such a massive turnout by collecting an impressive total of 20,53,620/- in contributions. Alumni contributed through the portal, which was also used to collect event fees and registrations.
Steps Taken by the Association
MAA aimed for a remarkable alumni turnout at their annual meet, Snehada Kadalu 2.0, and spared no effort in making it a success. To keep alumni engaged and informed, the association promoted the event well in advance, publishing the event on the alumni portal two months before the big day.
To ensure the event was inclusive, accommodating, and engaging, MAA employed several key strategies, including:
Event Promotion Emails: The association sent out invitations well in advance, capturing alumni interest early on. To maintain excitement, periodic reminder emails were also sent to alumni.
Customized Event Forms: A tailored event form on the alumni portal allowed the association to gather key preferences, including food choices and family details, ensuring a seamless experience at the venue. This also streamlined event planning and logistics.
Social Media Marketing: Throughout the two-month lead-up, the institution actively promoted the event via LinkedIn posts and WhatsApp group messages, keeping alumni engaged and fostering anticipation.
